1984

This is probably the best book I have read and its definitely one of my favorites. It beautiful portrays the whole dark ambiance of the story to the extent that you yourself feel the cold. The extent to which us human-beings can be brain-washed, made believe and used. How breach of individual privaciy on the name of  "the state" looks under a magnifying glass.
Its the story of an insignificant man. A common man. An everyman. How the same insignificant person can become significant by taking his stand. And once again the contrast how weak a human being is. The innate nature of self-preservation defines us. In the end nothing is important to a human except himself.

The book leaves a hole in your heart and a heavy weight on your mind. A must read !
